Terms
Plain language first. These terms govern your use of PollyPay.
What PollyPay is
PollyPay is software that builds a page for you and prepares a payment. PollyPay never holds your money. Every payment moves directly from the person supporting you into the payout account you control, in a single transaction on the Solana network. PollyPay cannot hold, freeze, reverse or recover a payment, and neither can anyone else once it is sent.
Payments are final
A settled payment cannot be undone. Sending to the wrong address cannot be undone. Refunds are a matter between the supporter and the creator. PollyPay is not a party to them.
The record is public
Settlement happens on a public network. The amounts, the account addresses and the reference we attach are visible to anyone and cannot be deleted. Notes you write in PollyPay are stored by PollyPay and are not written to that public record. The receipt page shows your name and note only in the browser you paid from.
Fees
PollyPay keeps 1 percent when you get paid. Nothing else, ever. The fee is taken inside the same transaction that pays you, so it never sits in a PollyPay account. Network costs are covered by PollyPay at the moment of payment. Card payments and bank transfers are handled by Coinbase, which charges its own fee and shows it before anything is bought.
For supporters
You do not need an account. Paying by card means buying digital dollars through Coinbase, which then go to the creator in one step; Coinbase may ask you to prove who you are, and that can take from minutes to a few days. Your card is charged once, by Coinbase, and PollyPay never sees the card. A payment cannot be reversed once it has landed. If a creator wants to send money back they can do so from their dashboard, and you get an email when they do. Your name and note are shown only to that creator and, if they choose, on their page.
Who may use PollyPay
You must be 18 or older to create a page and receive payments. You may not use PollyPay if you are a sanctioned person, if you are in a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria), or to evade sanctions or launder money. We screen payout addresses at signup and on every change, and we may refuse or withdraw service.
What you may not publish
No impersonation of another person or organisation. No content that is illegal where you or your supporters are. No harassment, no fraud, no infringement of other people's work, and nothing involving minors. Report a page at any time to abuse@pollypay.uk. We aim to act on impersonation and fraud reports within 24 hours, and we may suspend a page, hide a message, rename a handle or block an address while we look.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your own taxes, for anything you promise your supporters, and for keeping your sign in methods safe. PollyPay will never ask you for a recovery phrase.
Availability and liability
PollyPay is provided as is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, PollyPay is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and, for material changes, email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect.
